Meet Lorraine Baker, Director and Registered Holistic Nutritionist

Lorraine Baker, Director and Registered Holistic Nutritionist is the owner of Shiloh Centre

Shiloh Centre is operated by the Blackpine Inner Healing Society, a non-profit organization committed to the philosophy of holistic nutrition and health and promoting and supporting it within the community at large. The Society owns and operates a remote camp/retreat centre. Proceeds from consulting and sales go towards sponsoring youth, family, and wellness camps in the summer. Lorraine Baker is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist who is passionate about helping people live healthier lives through optimal nutrition. In fact, she is so dedicated to this philosophy that she chose to start her practice in Mackenzie over larger urban centres. “People in small towns don’t often get the opportunity for services like ours,” says Lorraine. “Many often take their children to Vancouver for allergy testing after months of waiting for an opening.” “The allergy testing I do is non-invasive, accurate, and visual,” adds Lorraine. She notes that Shiloh Centre has clients from other areas of BC and Alberta. “It’s rewarding to know that I can provide a valuable service at an affordable cost in a small, remote town,” Lorraine states.

Lorraine has always had a passion for holistic health. However, she determined to study natural nutrition after her own bout with illness. She was able to achieve recovery and long-term, ongoing wellness through natural methods, and so she wanted to be able to learn more and to share that knowledge with others who could benefit the way she did.

For Lorraine, who likes to spend time in the bush, there are benefits to doing business in Mackenzie. Being an outdoor lover she often gathers wild herbs which are abundant in this region. With these, she formulates medicinal tinctures, salves, lotions and soaps.

Person Centered. Caring. Inspiring.

Shiloh Centre embraces a holistic approach to health and well-being, starting with nutrition. Shiloh Centre has a passion for helping people by encouraging and supporting a lifestyle of health. Shiloh Centre believes that for every symptom there is a cause and seeks to remedy the cause, rather than cover the symptom. BioMeridian equipment is utilized to do meridian stress assessments and accurate allergy testing. Professional supplements are available for purchase as well as handmade wildcrafted medicinal products and soaps.

See Lorraine Baker at Shiloh Centre for the education schedule, which includes workshops and videos. Appointments are necessary for allergy testing and BioMeridian assessments.
Drop in anytime for a cup of tea and to discuss your nutritional needs and questions if Lorraine is available.
